Arcane Mage

Single Target DPS Rotation

The DPS Rotation for Arcane Mages consists of two phases, a Conservation Phase and Burn Phase. The Conservation Phase is used when Evocation and Arcane Power are on cooldown.

Conservation Phase

1. (if have talent) Nether Tempest when is is not active (or about to expire) and you have 4 Arcane Charges
2. (if have talent) Arcane Orb (If 3 or less Arcane Charges)
3. (if have talent) Arcane Blast with Rule of Threes procs
4. Arcane Missiles (with Clearcasting Procs)
5. Arcane Barrage (If 4 Arcane Charges & less than 50% mana)
6. (if have talent) Supernova
7. Arcane Blast]

If you need to do AoE DPS, use Arcane Explosion instead with your Clearcasting procs.

Burn Phase

Enter the burn phase under the conditions that Arcane Power is ready, you have > 60% mana, and 4 Arcane Charges.

1. (if have talent) Nether Tempest when is is not active (or about to expire) and you have 4 Arcane Charges
2. Touch of the Magi
3. (if have talent) Arcane Orb (If 3 or less Arcane Charges)
4. Arcane Power
5. Presence of Mind
6. Arcane Missiles (with Clearcasting procs)
7. Arcane Blast

Once you are out of mana, use Evocation and start the conservation phase. If you need to do AoE DPS, prioritize Arcane Explosion above Arcane Missiles and Arcane Barrage (with 4 stacks of Arcane Charge) above Arcane Missiles.

Important Cooldowns

• Evocation Use as directed in the Burn Phase section.
• Arcane Power Use as directed in the Burn Phase section.
• Time Warp Use as directed by your raid or party leader.
